In Kalari Ayurveda massage, using the feet to massage instead of the hands, the kalaripayattu master uses ropes suspended from the ceiling to help support their body weight while using the feet to apply an appropriate amount of pressure on the vital parts of the body of the patient, in a smooth and flowing movement, this is known as utsadana.
